NOT a One-Size-Fits-All Traditional Clinic Setting
outpatient opiate and alcohol withdrawal Treatment
New patients are eligible for opiate withdrawal symptom management using standardized treatment protocols designed and verified by treatment centers throughout North America. Patients are seen by licensed nurses, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, and Dr. Jarod Masci, a board certified Addiction Medicine Specialist and Psychiatrist. Individual treatment plans are developed for each patient with options for ongoing care that are always explained in detail. The pros and cons of Buprenorphine (Suboxone, Zubsolv, Sublocade, Subutex), Vivitrol, and other options are described and patients' concerns and questions are addressed. Psychiatric care is also provided at no additional cost, and appropriate complementary services and linkages are provided to better coordinate care.
New research has shown that the treatment of mild to moderate alcohol withdrawal symptoms can be managed in an outpatient setting, eliminating the need for inpatient services that can negatively affect employment, relationships, and a patient's sense of dignity and privacy. Ongoing treatment for alcohol addiction, often in conjunction with psychiatric and counseling services, is available and strongly recommended.

medication assisted treatment
A full complement of services are also available for abuse of cocaine, marijuana, and Benzodiazepines such as Xanax. Although some patients who abuse Xanax may require inpatient services, the majority can be treated in an outpatient setting in a fashion similar to alcohol treatment. The risk to younger patients is especially concerning, and has not received the attention that it deserves in the midst of the current opiate crisis.
TREATMENT of COMPULSIVE BEHAVIORs
Gambling, Internet, Gaming, and Sex Addiction, although rarely recognized by the medical community, can have devastating effects on relationships and families. Dr. Masci has been treating patients with these behaviors for over 5 years and is on the cutting edge of treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Naltrexone. Psychotherapy and additional psychiatric services are often required as complementary treatments.
buprenorphine (suboxone, Zubsolv, Sublocade*) maintenance
Not every new patient qualifies for Buprenorphine (Suboxone, Sublocade) maintenance, but for those patients who are ready to take control and responsibility for their lives, this program can be empowering and life-changing. We at Landmark view addiction as a chronic disease, and as such we do not restrict treatment to any set time frame or duration. If patients on maintenance are interested in tapering off of Buprenorphine, Dr. Masci works with them to develop an individual action plan and time line. Buprenorphine treatment is a commitment, and patients are expected to follow treatment guidelines and recommendations. The use of additional substances or behaviors that put patients or the community at risk are not tolerated, but no patient will ever be turned away without being given every option and opportunity to succeed. Dr. Masci has a long history of successfully treating opiate dependent women during pregnancy with Buprenorphine (Subutex) and provides comprehensive treatment before, during, and after their pregnancy.
*Sublocade is a cutting edge injectable formulation of Buprenorphine administered monthly by the medical staff. This eliminates the need for patients to go to pharmacies, eliminates the possibility of theft or loss of the medication, and eliminates the behavioral reminders of daily self-administered substance use.
Group and individual counseling
Licensed, experienced, and highly empathic staff offer group and individual counseling and psychological services that are an essential complement to medication assisted treatments for addictions. Registered nurses, psychologists, and social workers specifically trained in the field of addiction are available to every Landmark Addictions patient, and these services are a crucial component of our outpatient opiate detox and Buprenorphine maintenance programs.
